Chartway Savings: Custom Share Account
The Custom Share Savings account is an interest-earning account that allows members to save money for a specific purpose, while earning higher dividends with a low balance requirement.
Product Features
- Dividends compounded quarterly
- Account names can be personalized (ex: Christmas Funds, College, Vacation, etc.)
- Funds can be used to secure a low interst loan
Requirements
- Must be a Chartway member (have a Prime Share account)
- Eighteen years of age or older
- $1.00 deposit required to open account
Federal Reserve Regulation D restricts transfers from savings to no more than six per month. These transfers include overdraft transfers, pre-authorized ACH debits, phone transfers, eBranch Internet Banking and Call-24 transfers.
